Morning Coffee With An Extra Shot — of God

Mornings ARE the most important time of the day. Why? Because for most of us, it’s when we wake up to a brand new day. A new beginning. A chance for positive things to happen that day – or for some, another chance to fix problems that have hampered their lives.

And those chances are the reasons why it’s a great idea to start your day off with a morning prayer, and perhaps a good cup of coffee to go with it! Morning coffee with prayers seem so natural. Having some quiet time all to yourself to start the day allows you to have a meaningful one-on-one chat with God.

Starting the morning with a prayer and conversation with God is like adding a shot of Espresso to your morning coffee. He can give your mornings a “jump-start” and pump you up to make you strong for whatever is coming your way.

Private chats and prayers with God are so important. He will always be listening. You can say exactly what’s on your mind. You can vent. You can release your true feelings. You can ask for forgiveness. You can ask Him for guidance when making tough decisions. It’s your chance to let Him know that you are thankful for blessings of the past, present and future. It’s “your” time to cement your faith with God and get this brand new day rolling. What could be better than that?

Quiet time spent with God allows you to reflect – to focus – to take a deep breath and realize you are never alone. And it doesn’t have to be “in the mornings” – it’s whatever time works for you. Perhaps you’re more inclined to make time to spend with Him in the evenings before your retire for the night. Maybe the middle of the day is the perfect time to re-charge your faith, and power you through what’s left of the day.

It really doesn’t matter when, where or how you choose to stay in touch with Him – what’s really important is that you “do.” Having a daily routine of whatever time works for you, can help you stay on a positive track – and in today’s world, that’s not always easy to do!

God really is like an extra shot of Espresso: A jolt to really wake you up to the world around you! A jolt to get you movin’ and groovin.” A jolt to to help you make solid decisions and give you peace of mind. And who doesn’t want that?

Be thankful for your yesterdays, your todays and all your tomorrows. Be thankful for blessings both great and small. Be thankful.
