Free Styling Your Faith

For those of you who visit this site often, you’ve probably noticed we post a lot of “free style” recipes – easy recipes for folks to make at home that they can easily tailor to their own personal style and taste.

You can “free style” just about anything – food, hobbies, etc. etc. So why not “free style” your faith and the way you celebrate God and Christian values? Churches are wonderful. You get to interact with others, attend gatherings – maybe have coffee with other church members, make new friends.

But what if you don’t have a church nearby? Or you aren’t able to attend church due to a disability or lack of transportation? Or what if attending church just “isn’t your thing” even though you have strong Christian values? It’s not a problem!

Each and every one of us can come up with our own special ways, our own special routines to celebrate our faith. Our site’s inspirational posts mention finding quiet spots in your backyard or local park, taking a stroll on the beach or even taking a walk on a nature trail to get away and spend some quiet one-on-one time with God – it’s a way to tailor your faith based on your environment.

Another idea is to find a daily prayer book online or in a local bookstore. There are plenty to choose from. Some books have a prayer for each day of the year. Perhaps that’s something to keep by your bedside to read first thing in the morning or right before you go to sleep.

Perhaps free styling your faith means you have solid, concrete prayers to God. Prayers that are extra special. Solid prayers of thanks for blessings both great and small. Extra prayers and extra time with God – just you with Him.

Free styling your faith is all up to you. Whether it be a routine of morning prayers, evening prayers, reading from the Bible once a week, twice a week, etc….it’s YOUR CALL!

You choose how and when to celebrate your faith. Tailor it to what works best for you. Daily prayers, daily prayer books, quiet spots, attending church, etc. It doesn’t matter how you decide to celebrate your faith and bond with God. The important thing is that “you do!”

Every friend, family member and pet are gifts.  Every morsel of food, every drink of water, more gifts. Every day you wake up is the ultimate gift – the gift of life, the gift of another day. Celebrate and be thankful.
