Light at the End of the Tunnel
When times seem tough, it can feel like there’s no light at the end of the tunnel. But the light is there – it’s “always” there, but sometimes you have to look for it.
The pandemic is a classic example. Last spring things spiraled downward at a rapid rate. Folks lost friends and family. Many lost their jobs. Businesses shuttered and disappeared in the blink of an eye. Now a year later, we can actually see hope in people’s eyes – we can even hear sighs of relief in their voices. New businesses are coming to life, while some of the older ones have, thankfully, managed to hang on. In some places, employees are going back to their offices.
We now see that we are being led out of the darkness of Covid. We can see a newly cleared path for us to follow. We are feeling like the world is starting to go in reverse and is very slowly, and cautiously, working its way back to a sense of normalcy.
That tunnel light now seems more important than ever. But here’s the thing – God has always made sure there’s a light at the end of our tunnel 24/7, 365 days a year – pandemic or no pandemic.
Throughout our lives there will always be ups and downs and challenges that may, at times, seem insurmountable. But that’s His point. Having faith in Him and focusing on the power of prayer will draw us to His light.
So now it is up to us to continue to follow the light – not just to get past Covid, but to help us get through the trials and tribulations we face each day.
Take a moment to really seek out the light of God. Be thankful for your blessings of yesterday, blessings for today and blessings coming your way in the future.
When you seek out the light of God, you’ll never be left alone in a dark tunnel.
