Police determine the victim is Brian Saunders — a locally employed man living on a modest income. But things get twisty and old secrets finally come to the surface, putting Nichelle, with Lucy’s help, on the trail of a cold-hearted killer.
Nichelle’s brother, Brad, who secretly came to Nags Head a few days prior, is suddenly under the local PD’s microscope. But he’s not alone on the suspect list. The victim’s girlfriend is very “slick.” There are plenty of “wronged women” and their very angry relatives.
Seems like the Outer Banks just got another amateur sleuth besides Lucy. Nichelle shows no signs of stopping until she clears her brother and nails down the real killer, while simultaneously learning her new job at the Bodie Library.
