Start 2026 With Concrete Prayers
2025 is running out the door! Unfortunately, I’ve known so many folks who’ve had a really rough time in 2025 and feel 2025 can’t get out of here fast enough ! For others, 2025 has been a banner year chocked with achievements. It’s what we call life: Up, down, neutral.
If 2025 was a bad year, it’s done, it’s over, ERASE IT! If 2025 was a good year, strive to make 2026 even BETTER! Sure, technically January first is just like any other day. But what makes it extra special is that it is the perfect time to reset and refresh.
Make new goals (as opposed to resolutions). Focus on the future, not on the past. Prepare to go forward into 2026 with an attitude of positivity and gratefulness. Make plans to make 2026 a stellar year.
Sure, it’s easier said than done. But by thinking things through and making solid plans to reach your goals (whether they be large or small), will help you achieve them. And who doesn’t want to do that?
Consider writing down your list of goals – it’s been proven those who write down their goals stay more focused, making it easier to achieve them. Keep your list of goals “handy” as a reminder to “keep your eye on the prize.”
And don’t jump into 2026 alone! Find that quiet place to sit a spell and have that one-on-one personal connection with God. Your solid concrete prayers for 2026 will help get the new year off to a good start. No matter what point you are in your life, no matter what 2025 was like for you personally, your personal connection with God through prayers and private “talks,” will help you stay on the right path.
Yes, I talk about concrete prayers a lot. Why? Because these sincere prayers to God are unbreakable. Concrete prayers cement your faith with God. Concrete prayers can give you guidance. They can provide peace and hope. They can lift you up when you’re down or lift you even higher if you’re already “up.”
And there can be so many goals to pursue in 2026. Volunteering at places in need. Stepping up your career. Finally retiring! Taking that dream vacation. Just being a better, happier person all the way around – and plenty of other goals to shoot for!
Perhaps one of your goals for 2026 is to start and end each day with a concrete prayer. Another goal might be finding that quiet spot in your own backyard or nearby park to spend some extra time alone with God. But “alone” time with God means you are NEVER alone, for He is always with you. And that’s important to remember as we go forward into 2026.
Good times and bad times come to all of us at some point in our lives. Make your 2026 goals and be thankful for another new year, another chance for positive things to happen – it’s yours for the taking. No matter what your faith or beliefs, be thankful for blessings in the past and the present and for blessings yet to come in 2026!
HAPPY NEW YEAR 2026!
