The 1950’s hit, You Send Me by Sam Cooke evokes velvety smooth grooves from a young man taken away from us way too early. Do You Know The Way To San Jose by Dionne Warwick in 1968, is just one of her many hits featuring care-free easy grooves – such a beautiful voice from a (still) beautiful lady!

One Hit Wonders like Smiling Faces Sometimes by the Undisputed Truth and lost hits like Paul Young’s I’m Gonna Tear Your Playhouse Down still stand the test of time – and yes, they got grooves! Dazz by Brick had some heavy grooves, but not as heavy as those by Isaac Hayes. Hayes was born in Covington, Tennessee. He was a singer/songwriter/keyboardist and producer. In regard to his Theme From Shaft – can you dig it?? I sure can!
