Concrete Prayers: Unbreakable

Concrete Prayers: I talk about them a lot. Why? Because in times of distress or great uncertainty, they are the key to helping us go forward and stay strong in our faith and beliefs. Concrete prayers are those solid, steadfast prayers that establish our own personal one-on-one relationship with God.

Bonding with God during good times and bad times – basically ALL times — will help us stay focused. It’s very easy to lose focus, even during good times. Life has a way of going faster than the speed of light, making it easy to overlook the things are that “really important.”

Those concrete prayers also help us keep our guard up, making it easier to handle the abundance of life’s unexpected situations that can appear out of nowhere. Life IS meant to be a challenge and daily prayers of thankfulness and guidance are ours for the taking. But we must be receptive. Opening our hearts and our minds can bring: inner peace, solutions to problems, courage and resilience.

Sometimes, out-of-the-blue, our world is rocked. Stuff we never saw coming. Suddenly everything is changing and we have to change with it. It can be nerve-racking. But things do happen for a reason. God has His reasons.

Maybe you have a family member that has to move in with you due to their financial straits. Later you find out you have serious medical issues. Now that family member is there by your side to help you manage your meds and take you to the doctor. Maybe you lost your job – it’s a nightmare. But a few months later, you found a better job than you had before. It is God closing one door and then opening another.

These are just two examples of things that can throw us for a loop. But in the long haul, it works out for the best. We don’t know what’s down the road ahead, but He does. And that’s why staying true to our faith, keeping our special bond with God, is vitally important.

One of the best things about our Concrete Prayers is that we can have that one-on-one connection with God anywhere — our backyard on a garden bench, in a beautiful park, on our deck or patio or a quiet place in our home.
Find yourself that special place where you can communicate with God without distractions, a place where you can release your stress of the day and be rewarded with inner peace. Your concrete prayers are unbreakable.
