Concrete Prayers: Solid
Good times. Bad Times. Neutral Times. It just doesn’t matter when it comes to concrete prayers – those heartfelt prayers that create a special bond between you and God. Deep and sincere prayers keep your connection with God “solid.”
Summer seems to be zooming by and is in quite a hurry to exit. It’s also a reminder of how fast time flies. It’s easy to get caught up with the quick passing of time. Sometimes important things can get neglected.
Things like taking care of your own health or getting so wrapped up in other “unimportant” things, can make the “truly” important things just slip right past you. And what about concrete prayers? Is your connection to God fraying in midst of the problems and/or busyness in your daily life?
Are you still taking the time to have those one-on-one sessions with God that are so important – those sessions can help you stay grounded and get you through just about anything? Concrete prayers bring hope, security, comfort.
Why not make it a habit to start each morning with a concrete prayer to God. Let it be a prayer of thankfulness for the new day that’s just beginning, thankfulness for blessings in the past and those coming to you that very day. It’s also an opportunity to pray for friends and loved ones who are going through rough times and an opportunity to also pray for those folks you don’t even know.
When you read the paper or hear the news, you see so many people in need of prayer, not just here in our own United States, but around the world. War, famine, floods, earthquakes – the list goes on and on. And while you don’t know these people personally, they still need God’s help.
With summer on the run, now is a good time to slow things down a bit. The power of prayer is a mighty tool – use it. One-on-one chats with God are so important. Anytime, anywhere, is always the perfect time or place to solidify your faith and help you navigate through the complications of life.
Concrete prayers: making your connection with God “solid” like concrete.
