2018 is quickly slipping away and 2019 is slowly seeping in. As they say, time to kick out the old and bring in the new.
As the old year exits, I see more and more articles about decluttering your house. Decluttering your house is a great idea. It frees up more space, makes it easier to find things in your home — plus donating your unused items can help out someone who is in desperate need. It’s a “win win” all the way around.
But what about decluttering your mind? Why not start the New Year with re-calibrating your attitude? Get rid of the nagging negative things that are holding you back, making you miserable and taking a toll on your life in general. Only you can make those changes.
And if 2018 was one of your best years ever, here’s an opportunity to “top it” and make 2019 even better!
The beginning of the New Year is the perfect opportunity to: put a new game plan in place and take positive measures to reign in the things that may be weighing you down.
No matter how good or bad 2018 was for you, it’s time to make your list of positive changes and goals. Write them down. Studies have shown that folks who write them down tend to be more successful at achieving their goals than those who don’t.
I don’t know why that is. Maybe it’s the fact that when you force yourself to write down your plans, ideas and goals, it etches them deeper into your subconscious – or maybe writing them down makes you take more time to formulate your goals and plans, thereby, instilling them firmly in your brain! Whatever the reason, you’ve got nothing to lose, so give it a try!
We can’t always fix everything, but we can usually make things better with some planning and a positive attitude. Time to let go of 2018 and grab 2019 by the horns! Making positive plans and changes to your future can help make this New Year the best one yet!
